Pepper and garlic powder (amount to taste)
1/2 spoon of baking powder
4 spoons olive oil
2 heaping spoons pancake mix
2 cups flower
milk - I never did measure the milk
In large bowl wisk together adding milk (a little at a time), break up any clumping, until you get
a gloppy sticky paste â—„technical term
Dip your onions in.
Deep fry in a pan with oil until golden brown, or longer for crispier. I think I used peanut oil last time,
but regular vegetable oil works fine.
Excellent results with 1/4 inch slices of onions. They do not seem to pull out of breading like other onion rings. Above mix does 2 decent size onions, with ranch dressing for dip.
I'm sure it would work great with veggies and fish also.
